Breakfast and After School Clubs
Sunrise Club is run by St Mary’s School from 7:45am to 8:45am every week day during term time, staffed by Mrs K Jones and Miss S Knight. A healthy breakfast is provided to children, and they have the opportunity to play and socialise with a variety of activities and toys.
Our menu is simple but delicious - children can choose daily from a range of toasts, cereals and fruit juices.
Breakfast Club is held in the School Hall. Please accompany your child into the School Hall, using the side entrance which can be accessed by following the path next to the kitchen. You will need to sign your child into the club, please do not drop them off without speaking with a member of staff.
All bookings are made on School Money, and cost £3.50 per child per day.
Twilight and After School Clubs
Alongside our termly clubs, we offer two sessions of After School Club both staffed by Miss J Cornwall, Mrs Alyson Layton and Mrs Lyn Harwood on a rota basis.
- Twilight Club: 3:00pm to 4:15pm
- Sunset Club: 4:15pm to 5:30pm
After School Club runs separately from the various school activity clubs which are held throughout the year and which finish in most cases between 4:00pm and 4:15pm. If your child is taking part in one of these clubs and you would like them to attend Sunset Club afterwards, staff will escort them to After School Club.
Twilight and Sunset Clubs are open to all pupils of the school, up to a maximum of 30 children. Our clubs are held in the School Hall, please collect your child using the side entrance which can be accessed by following the path next to the kitchen. Please contact the School Office if someone other than yourself will be collecting your child, After School Club staff are unable to release your child to anyone else without your consent.
Each session is charged at £4.50, and is bookable via School Money.
We cannot issue refunds after 12pm on the day of your booking.
What do children do at Twilight and Sunset Club?
After a busy school day, we aim to provide the children with time to wind down in the way they choose and the structure of the club is kept informal; activities include drawing, playing with toys or board games, role play, ball games, etc. During the warmer, drier months we make use of the playing field.
What food will my child be given?
A healthy snack is served every day; typical snacks are cheese and crackers, sandwiches, toast, vegetable sticks and a selection of fresh fruit. We do cater for children with allergies or food preferences (such as vegetarians or coeliac) – please contact the School Office if you have any concerns.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Staffing, food and activities are prepared in advance in expectation of your child’s attendance at booked clubs. For this reason, should your child not attend a booked club and we are not notified of the cancellation within the required time frames, we are not able to offer a refund,
Please also be aware that there will be no After School Club on the last day of each term.
