Covid-19 | Children can get coronavirus (Covid-19), but they seem to get it less often than adults and it's usually less serious. The main symptoms of Covid-19 are:
| Infectious period: from date of initial exposure and for up to 10 days (or until a negative LFT result is obtained).
From the 11th January, if your child initially tests positive on an LFT test, they do not need to take a confirmatory PCR test unless they go on to develop symptoms.
Your child will need to stay at home and isolate from day 0 (day of initial positive LFT or PCR result) until at least day 7.
Children may be able to leave isolation and return to school from day 8 providing the following conditions are met:

Risk Assessments
Please find below our most recent Covid risk assessments. We are continually reviewing and updating our risk assessments based upon the latest advice and guidance.
School Uniform
Children must wear school uniform if they are attending school, including suitable school shoes. If you have any concerns about obtaining uniform given current events, please contact the School Office. Until October half term, we are wearing our summer uniform, for more information on this, please click here.
School Bags
In attempts to minimise the transportation of items between home and school, school bags are not permitted at present. Your child has been provided with a school book bag which is easy to sanitise and wipe down, please use this to help transport reading books, lunch boxes and other necessary items.
Illness and Covid
Please use the handy chart below to help you identify symptoms. If you are at all unsure whether your child should be at school, please speak with the school office as soon as possible. If your child has been asked to isolate due to potential Covid, or they have shown symptoms and you have recently taken a test, please contact the school office prior to their return in order to complete the necessary paperwork.
